BEER/WINE TASTING
There are many places where you can book and go to do beer or wine tasting or if you want you can get them delivered to your house and enjoy some at home drinking with your dad. Maybe your dad will find a new beer or wine he might like.
DO A MOVIE NIGHT/GAMES NIGHT
Your dad would enjoy a movie night or a games night with his kids as its just quality time to spend together if its a nice summer night why don’t you do a movie night in the garden and have some delicious snacks to eat. If your dad doesn’t like movies much and enjoys having a game night get some good board games or get the console out and have a game marathon night.
COOK A MEAL
If your dad has a favourite home cooked meal why not get the recipe and cook it for him he would really enjoy it. If your not so good at cooking and your dad has a favourite restaurant to eat out at, book a table at his favourite restaurant and he can enjoy his favourite meal on fathers day. Don’t forget to book it in advance as restaurant places get booked up quite fast when it comes to special days.
PLAN A CAMPING TRIP
If your father likes the great outdoors why not get the whole family to surprise your father with a camping night or if you want do a camping weekend so you can get to spend quality time together as a family. Don’t forget to pack some fun stuff and plan some fun stuff to make your dad feel extra special on fathers day.
DO A SCAVENGER HUNT
When your spending time with your dad on fathers day grab the family and get them all to hide the gifts you brought your father and hide them around the house and get him to find them, it will make it an extra little fun activity on the day. If your away on a mini vacation or a camping trip you can hide them around where your staying and get your dad to find them.
RENT YOUR DAD HIS DREAM CAR OR MOTORBIKE
If your dad has always dreamed of having a certain car or bike for himself why not spoil him and rent the car or the bike for the day and if you can afford it why not the weekend? It will make his day extra special just to drive the car or bike for the day and he will be proud you spent your own time and money to do this for him.
DESIGN A UNIQUE PUZZLE/PHOTO
You can either make a photo frame with all your family photos on it for your father or you can go online and send in a photo to a puzzle company and they will design the puzzle for you out of the photo. On fathers day you and your dad and family can make the puzzle together and it will be great spending quality time together.
PLAN A BOAT TRIP/KAYAKING
If you have a nice summer day for fathers day, plan a trip to go to a lake or a nearby river to go have a go at canoeing or kayaking. If you live near the sea there are plenty of boats you can hire one for a few hours or the full day and enjoy the day on the sea in your own boat.
WRITE A PERSONAL LETTER
Your dad will appreciate a personal letter you have wrote for him, you can tell him how much he means to you and how much you appreciate him and tell him how thank full you are. Don’t forget to write some special memories you have both spent together and how much you treasure them.
MAKE HIM RELAX FOR THE DAY
If you dad is one of those people who cant sit down and relax all day and has to work on stuff around the house or on his car make him relax for the day and you can do all his planned stuff around the house or clean the car for him. This way he has no choice but to relax!
