With some of the cleaning products you buy they can have some chemicals in there that wont agree with your health, skin and even your kids. With making your own cleaning products you know exactly what goes in them and can even save you some money. Here are some everyday cleaning products you can easily make:
SCENTED ALL-PURPOSE CLEANER
What you need:
- One part white vinegar
- One part cold water
- Lemon rind or orange rind
- A few drops of essential oils for cleaning
Method:
Combine all your ingredients into a spray bottle and shake the bottle well, leave the bottle to infuse for a 2-3 days. After leaving your bottle for 2-3 days you can now use it to get rid of any hard stains, wipe away smudges and clean up your table after cooking. Remember to check if you can use this spray on your surfaces before using it.
KITCHEN CLEANER
What you need:
- 4 Tbsps baking soda
- 1 Quart warm water
Method:
Place the warm water and baking soda into a spray bottle, you can use this to clean your fridge as baking soda is a natural deodorizer to get rid of nasty smells and works great with grime too. This kitchen cleaner could also be used to clean stainless steel sinks and even your washing machine drum and draw.
GLASS CLEANER
What you need:
- 2 Cups of water
- 1/2 Cup of white vinegar
- 1/4 Cup rubbing alcohol 70% concentration
- 1-2 Drops of essential oil of your choice
Method:
Place all your ingredients into a spray bottle and use as you would a normal glass cleaner this will leave your windows and mirrors streak free and sparkling and more even leave a nice scented smell around your house. For a great tip try not to clean your windows on a hot sunny day as the sun will quickly dry your solution up and could easily leave streaks if your not too fast at cleaning them.
TOILET CLEANER
What you need:
- 3/4 Cup baking soda
- 3/4 Cup white vinegar
- 5 Drops tea tree oil
- 5 Drops of essential oil of your choice
Method:
Combine your essential oils and baking soda into a mixing bowl and mix. Once your ready to clean add your vinegar into the toilet and your mixing solution and scrub with a toilet brush. This will leave your toilet smelling fresh and glistening clean, please remember this is a one time solution cleaner.
