How To Make Chicken Fajitas

Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: 20 minutes, Serves: 4-5


For the marinade:

  • 2 Tbsp lime/lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp oil of your choice
  • 1 Garlic clove minced
  • 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 1/2 Tsp chilli powder
  • 1 Jalapeno sliced
  • 1/4 Cup sliced cilantro
  • 1/2 Tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 Tsp pepper

For the chicken:

  • 2 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 Large onion sliced
  • 3 Bell peppers sliced
  • 2 Tbsp oil of your choice
  • 1/2 Lime/lemon

For serving:

  • 10-12 Tortillas
  • Salsa
  • Lettuce sliced
  • Sliced avocado (optional)
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheese of your choice (optional)


  1. Mix all your marinade ingredients in a large mixing bowl and add the chicken and mix it until well combined and let it sit in the fridge for around 30 minutes to up to 8 hours.
  2. Get your marinade chicken from the fridge and wipe off any excess marinade.
  3. Get your cast iron griddle or frying pan and add your oil on high heat for around a minute, Add your sliced chicken breasts and let them cook. Once cooked remove them from the frying pan.
  4. Add another bit of oil to the same frying pan and add your onions, bell peppers and lime and let them cook until they have softened.
  5. Warm up your tortillas and you can now add your chicken, onion, peppers and all the toppings you like and now you can enjoy your own fajitas.
