  • Aer Lingus– Aer lingus runs a 2 year graduate programme to commence in september 2020. Aer lingus says you do not need to be an aviation expert or have come from an aviation course; However you do need to have curiosity for the airline industry, as well as ambition and passion to succeed. The graduate programmed offers you an introduction to an exciting career, in a rapidly evolving and dynamic industry. The candidates will be asked to apply to the stream that is a aligned with their academic background, skills and interests.   • British Airways– British airways have many internships, graduate programmes and business placement programmes. They say you will find an incredible range of opportunities and career paths. Each of the programmes you will have experience and exciting mix of the day to day business activities, and high profile project work, as well as the opportunity to engage with your senior managers in the business. The graduate programmes begin with a comprehensive induction week at the head office, supported by ongoing development workshops, training opportunities and support from mentors. Tui are looking for candidates who have a positive can do attitude and approach, a smiling and friendly personality and a good communication style. Tui are looking for leadership potential and the ability and ambition to go far, once the programme has ended.

What qualifications do i need? Winning a place on one of these schemes is not going to be easy at all. A strong educational record is essential. The different airlines and programmes you will be applying for will vary some entry requirements also some attributes you will require no matter what route you end up choosing. All airlines will expect you to have willingness to learn and have passion about what they stand for. You also must have strong commitment to deliver for their customers. Interpersonal skills, relationship building and a high level of commercial acumen are must haves.
